104 – Just a Tank Top

$ 8.00

Very basic, very useful tank top. This pattern is perhaps the most versatile basics of all!

A tank top of any colour or pattern can be worn with jeans or shorts for casual wear, a plain coloured or subtle printtank can be layered with a thin cardigan or blazer jacket for office wear and you could make one in a glittery jersey – or animal print – to wear with skinny jeans and heels for a night out.

Have fun using any kind of print – including kid’s jerseys – and use matching or contrasting ribbing to finish the armholes and the neckline.

Description

About Just a Tank Top

Well, it is what it says on the tin – it’s just a tank top.

But it’s a nice one: Flattering U-neckline and close fitting at the bust area, while it has a looser fit over the abdomen. The armholes and neckline are finished with self fabric (or contrasting) ribbing.

Sizes

This pattern includes all sizes from BXS (bust = 80 cm/31½”) to BXXL (bust = 110 cm/43½”)See image of size chart for further measurements.

Just A Tank Top was drafted for a B-cup bust – as all European patterns (including Onion and Burda) are.
If you wear a larger bust size, I recommend you choose your size based on your high bust measurement and do a Full Bust Alteration, as described in this article for a better fit in the upper bust and shoulder area.

Delivery

This pattern is a .PDF download, which you will be able to download right after ordering. You can then print the pattern on your home printer (A4 or letter) and easily assemble it following the instructions included in the instructions.

Recommended Fabric

This pattern is designed for jersey fabric containing elastane (often called spandex or lycra). The one on the front page is made from a cotton/elastane jersey with 4% elastane.

You’ll need about 75 cm (30″) of fabric (140 cm /55″ wide) for either size. If you want to use contrasting ribbing for the neckline and armhole finishing, you’ll need 5 – 10 cm (2″ – 4″) ribbing (140 cm (55″) wide).
